It might look unwieldy to carry, but the front of the seat balances nicely on your shoulders and you can hold the foot bar to stabilize it. At 25 pounds distrusted evenly across your shoulders on a nice cushy seat, you could carry it for miles.

Glad you like it. Those boxes work better for stuff like that than flies. After switching over to the foam slit boxes, I realized all the problems with the compartment style boxes. Flies tangle, moisture can't escape and gets to all your hooks and it's tough to remove just one fly.

Sorry to hear that, saturday in Markleeville was a nice day, slow but I managed a couple small bows, a nice 18 1/2 inch brown and the first cutty I've ever caught in that pond. Going to tie some more of the only bug that worked for myself and another tuber I met up there this week.

Party like it's 1787!!! Right there with ya. I am willing to bet they already have a person (or panel) working out how to spin their straw words into gold again. Get your tube out and I'll meet you at Hinkson, or Indian Creek is hot right now too!

Well, thanks. I'm glad you found me here. I'm coming around to think that some level of preparedness is smart. It doesn't take a zombie apocalypse to need a survival bag. Even moderate weather can cause power outages, minor flooding and even modern vehicles break down when you least expect it. Besides, half the fun is researching and filling your bag.

We developed bug out bags when we had an ice storm. Our entire area went without power for a week. Our house was out for two. We quickly realized how important it was to have cash. Surprising how machines do not work when there is no electricity. Our local stores let people with cash in during the light hours. Burrr, it did get cold. Even with a good stove, our house cannot sustain cold for a week.
We also have items for cleaning water, extra shoes, a flashlight for everyone and some food in our cars always.IKEA sells a crank flashlight for $1.99 that is very bright. No need to worry if the batteries go bad.
I miss your other blog- but am glad I found you here.
